Salary: Up to £54,283 plus £2,323 London Weighting Allowance.

Role Overview
A reorganisation of facilities management responsibilities has led to an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced FM professional to strengthen King's College London’s dynamic estates and facilities management team. The Assistant Operations Manager will have overall responsibility for the operational management of hard services at the Denmark Hill campus.
Person Specification
The role of the Assistant Operations Manager will include the following:

ensure the timely, cost-effective and customer focused delivery of planned and reactive maintenance by directly employed staff and contractors

ensure the corporate goals on energy reduction and sustainability are met

ensure an effective interface with the College community, including KCL, Students’ Union, and the College’s landlords, tenants and significant neighbours

lead on health and safety compliance within their area of responsibility,
The successful applicant will be educated to at least HNC level in a building services related discipline. They will have substantial experience of managing a large team of directly employed and contract labour in a hard services function, as well as experience of financial management. They will have a proactive approach, be able to balance competing priorities, and have excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to delegate effectively will be essential to the role.
