FM North is a Facilities Management Professional Networking Association for individuals that live in the North of England. Meeting on the last Wednesday of every month in Manchester, the event is invitation only or through recommendation.
This regular event is a great opportunity for likeminded people within the facilities management, property and construction industry to share insight and discuss issues within their industry sector.
If you live in the north and are interested in attending one of these events, then you can email Gemma Gaunt – gemma@fmnorth.co.uk or Ian Perton – ian@fmnorth.co.uk
Upcoming events are as follows:
Held at the NEC Birmingham from 21-23rd March 2017, this is one of the biggest events of the year, bringing the FM community together to deliver and share educational content on the industry.
With a range of conferences and seminars across the three days, the topics have been designed to inspire each and every visitor to the event. It is also strategically co-located with three other complimentary exhibitions; The Health and Safety Event, The Fire Safety Event and Maintec.
There will be speakers and expert panels, as well as access to over 400 exhibitors, shedding light on FM, safety and security. The entry is free to qualifying professionals who register online in advance.
Taking place on 3-4 May 2017 at SECC Glasgow, Facilities Scotland is said to deliver a balance of knowledge, educational content and the most up-to-date products and services to facilities managers from all sectors.
This facilities management event will exhibit the best from the market leaders in technology and service providers, as well as being located next to similar events, for the safety, fire, cleaning and industrial maintenance markets.

This event encompasses the whole of the industry in Europe, taking place at Teatro Goya Multiespacio in Madrid, Spain on 25-27 April of this year.
The event, run by CIFMERS Global and in association with EuroFM, will focus on the promotion and enhancement of the FM discipline, with benefits to delegates, speakers and sponsors.
The theme this year will be ‘Consolidating the Global Scope of Facility Management’, looking at new ISO standards, global acquisitions and changing markets, looking at the “right here, right now” approach to FM and where it is going.
You can register for this event on the CIFMERS website. This is definitely not one to be missed!
Showcasing the best and most vital work that is carried out in the facilities management sector, World FM Day will raise the profile of the profession around the globe, while demonstrating how it contributes to business worldwide.
Taking place on 17th May 2017 and run by GlobalFM, this year’s event will focus on the theme of ‘Enabling Positive Experiences’ and will highlight how facilities management plays an integral role in positive customer, client and employee experience in all sectors.
There will be events held across the world throughout the entire week, allowing professionals within the FM industry to participate. You can view the many different events on the GlobalFM website’s world map, which shows the events taking place across the globe. It is here that you can view events in your area to take part in.
Attending almost every year, we believe that this is one of the must attend trade shows of the entire year.
Taking place on 20th June at the ExCel in London, there will be access to many career development and training sessions, as well as complimentary CPD workshops and seminars.
A great opportunity for networking, this facilities management event allows delegates to source the latest and most cost effective solutions for every sector within the industry.
