Support the DEC Ukraine appeal.

More than a million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water.

Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing hundreds of thousands of people to flee. Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost.

DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing.

The UK Government will match pound-for-pound the first £20 million donated by the public to this appeal.*

Donate with PayPal now to support relief efforts. Here’s how the DEC could use your donation:

Members and their local partners will deliver food either in kind or using cash transfers.

Given severe water shortages from the intensified fighting, priorities will include restoring water supply to health facilities, and the set up of water points to provide collectable water for affected communities.

Support for hospitals and primary health care facilities with medicines and medical equipment and provision of first aid to the injured.

Mental health and psychosocial support services and psychological first aid.

Essential household items/kits will be distributed to displaced households. Kits will include warm clothes, blankets & shoes for families.
