“There is an opportunity for FM professionals to really inform key decision makers in the business” - A conversation with Adelphine Williams.

I was recently lucky enough to speak with Adelphine Williams, Senior Facilities Manager for Informa, as part of our ‘Revitalisation of the workplace’ series of interviews. The topics discussed include the smart person-centric approach they’ve taken to reintroduce employees back into the workplace; the challenges and opportunities that have arisen in recent times; whether the re-emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement has initiated any policy changes; and the developing role of FM professionals, particularly considering their adaptation to new ways of working and the potential evolution of the workplace.

Although there may still be a level of uncertainty around returning to the workplace, however it is apparent that things are starting to move in the right direction. In the coming weeks and months we may start to see a gradual return to the workplace for many people, and FM professionals are going to play a huge part in getting the UK ready for work again. From social distancing guidance to advanced cleaning procedures, providing a safe and efficient workplace will be a daunting task for even the most skilled FMs out there.

The team at Maxwell Stephens have put together this guide to provide key decision makers in businesses an overview of the primary areas to be considered as they prepare the workplace for repopulation in a new, post-lockdown world.

It’s Good To Talk

It’s good to Talk…How to deal with Loneliness Loneliness can have an overwhelming impact on how well we perform in our roles at work. Feelings

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Carley Bright to discuss the impact she has made in her short time as General Manager of 245 Hammersmith Road. In this video we discuss some of the amazing things Carley and her team have done to engage with their local community. From hosting graduation picnics to volunteering with local charities, they are striving to be part of the local community and not just another office space in London. As well as this Carley was nice enough to take us on a quick tour of some of the amazing spaces in the building. Watch the video and take a look for yourself..
