Centre managers are responsible for overseeing the daily activities and duties of a Shopping Centre.  They are involved with security, operational and financial matters while overseeing the booking of essential resources.  Generally centre managers are responsible for managing a team and implementing a management strategy. They will also be responsible for the management of budgets and service charge budgets, as well as preparing reports and overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the property.

Candidates looking to improve their chances of securing a position in centre management will usually hold a Bachelors Degree in Business, Management or Administration. Other qualifications such a NVQ Level 4 in Management and BCSC (British Council of Shopping Centres) professional qualifications are also useful to gain entry in to this position. Entry is possible however with a high level of relevant experience, as this is extremely sought after by many employers.
