How do we manage and use your data?

At Maxwell Stephens our relationships between our candidates and clients is of the utmost importance. We act with integrity in all we do and using and managing your data is a big part of this.

What type of data do we collect?

The amount of data we hold on an individual will depend on your relationship with Maxwell Stephens. For example, individuals who sign up for our mailing list and marketing materials we will only collect your first name and a contact email address. For candidates who have registered with us to utilize our recruitment services, we will collect further information such as contact details, skills, target salary, location/postcode, CVs and other supporting documentation.

In addition to the information we directly collect from you, we may also use third-party services, such as Google Analytics, to help us to understand how visitors use our site. The information collected by these third-party services is typically focussed on which pages are most often visited, how long users stay on a page, where they have come to the site from.

Why do we need your data?

Again, depending on our relationship with the individual, we need to store personal data in order to efficiently provide our services. This could be as minor as using a forename and contact email address to send job alerts and marketing materials. For more in-depth recruitment services, we may need further data to create candidate profiles so as to tailor our services to the individual (e.g. salary preferences, location, CV and supporting documents etc.)

Who has access to your data?

Maxwell Stephens are the data processors and controllers, therefore the senior management team and employees may have access to your data. There may be instances where we will share selected data with third parties (e.g. employers) as part of our recruitment processes. We never share your information without prior consent and you will be always be notified and we will request your permission to share any data before doing so.
