The Exane group is a leading independent player in the European Financial Markets. With offices in Paris, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Geneva, Madrid, Stockholm and Singapore they employ more than 800 people. 

 

Exane approached several recruitment agencies with the hopes of recruiting a Senior Facilities Manager to be based in London.

The Position

This key member of the Facilities team would be responsible for maintaining a consistently high standard of working environment to meet the needs of the business. They would manages all building maintenance and repair activities, organises security and fit out work and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

 

The successful candidate would be required to work flexibly in order to respond to a variety of tasks and requests, manage the day-to-day activities of team members, plan the team’s long term objectives and provide updates and reports to senior management. 

The Candidate

The successful candidate needed to have relevant experience in facilities management, ideally in professional services or financial company. In addition, the post holder would ideally have a technical background (mechanical and/or electrical), and have a very good working knowledge of Health and Safety practices and regulations.

In regards to personal attributes, Exane were looking for an FM who was very service orientated and understood the importance of client service. They needed to be personable, confident, have excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. With their top-drawer communication skills and flexible attitude, the post holder would have the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders as well as on their own.
