Pay and Reward
The University salary structure includes automatic service-related pay progression in many of its grades and an annual cost of living increase. In addition to this, employees are rewarded for outstanding contribution through a number of regular pay progression schemes. The University offers an attractive pension scheme for employees, with an additional benefit of a salary exchange arrangement providing tax and national insurance savings.
The University recognises the importance of supporting its staff. In addition to a generous 41 days annual leave (inclusive of public holidays) and flexible working opportunities, we have a range of family-friendly policies to aid employees’ work-life balance including a generous maternity, adoption and shared parental leave entitlement of 18 weeks full pay and emergency family care support via My Family Care. Relocation and Housing
The University offers a range of schemes to support employees to move and settle into the area. The Accommodation Service offers a comprehensive housing advice service and can assist you in finding University-owned and private rented accommodation. Registering with the Service provides access for you to search hundreds of rental properties across the City, including those at Eddington. Eddington (North West Cambridge Development) is a brand new district located 2km northwest of the city centre of Cambridge. As a University employee, you will also have access to a range of housing support schemes, such as the Shared Equity scheme, the Reimbursement of Relocation expenses scheme and the Rental Deposit loan scheme.

With more than 2,000 participating retailers, employees can save money and get cashback on a wide range of household expenses, from groceries and clothes, to holidays and insurance and much more. A range of local discounts are also available, helping employees to save money whilst also supporting local Cambridge businesses.
