As an Assistant Building Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Building Manager in the delivery of effective and compliant facilities management services. You will work closely with in-house staff, suppliers and consultants to ensure the smooth operation of a single building, overseeing both hard and soft services.
Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation, monitoring and reconciliation of service charge budgets, maintaining regular and effective communication with clients and tenants, auditing and inspecting supplier delivery, and managing suppliers to ensure effective, safe and compliant delivery of all M&E related services.
You will also contribute to the preparation of management reports for a variety of stakeholders, attend management meetings as required, and undertake regular building inspections. In addition, you will assist the Building Manager to ensure compliance with all current statutory legislation in respect of health and safety and the environment.
To be successful in this role, you should have an awareness of wider team or department budgets, be proactive in building relationships with internal clients, and have functional or specialist competence with relevant understanding of business/departmental context. You should also be an active team player, able to deal with novel or difficult situations within the context of your own function or specialism.
