The Facilities and Maintenance department provide a wide range of hard and soft services across Maxwell Stephens’ client’s portfolio.  The department is primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Grade 2* listed Headquarters and several other buildings located in London and supporting the wider estate regionally. It’s an exciting time at our client organisation and this is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join the team and support the buildings strategy.

You will be responsible for managing a wide range of hard services across the estate.  You will be responsible for proactively managing and developing planned maintenance programmes and ensuring all M&E plant and HVAC systems are maintained to the highest standard and are fully compliant with statutory regulations.  You will also be required to develop and implement maintenance strategies including upgrading and renewing building systems and plant.  Managing a team of 3 in house Engineers you will oversee and participate in a wide range of works, including resolving reactive issues, managing service contracts, refurbishments and pro-active maintenance programmes.

We are therefore looking for somebody who has demonstrable experience in fully managing hard services in a multisite, multiuse environment with a proven record of leading a maintenance team by example and delivering a cost effective and proactive building maintenance service. You will therefore have a professional qualification in M&E and hold at least 2 trade disciplines and also have experience and knowledge of Health and Safety, ideally holding a formal Health and Safety qualification.
