Maxwell Stephens’ client, a leading accommodation provider, with its own portfolio of more than 50 buildings, is seeking a Health & Safety Assistant to join its team. For this newly-created role, you’ll be based in Sheffield and will be supporting the Health and Safety Manager and also the Senior Contract Manager in all H&S related issues/enquiries.
Health and Safety
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you’ll assist in ensuring that our client’s H&S policy is implemented consistently across the entire business.
You’ll support the in-house H&S Management system ensuring that all necessary actions are completed by the accommodation teams.
You’ll support the accommodation teams as they complete the actions required by our client’s external provider’s Annual General Health & Safety Risk Assessments. You’ll also work to assist the management of all accident and reporting investigations.
Your support will be needed in relation to Risk Assessments, RAMS and Permit To Work policies, and to provide general support on all H&S matters.
You’ll co-ordinate the issuing of notifications when required to HSE.
You’ll support the H&S Manager in monitoring the effectiveness of H&S systems and procedures with a view to aid in improvements including the development of our client’s three-year Continuous Improvement Plan.
You will have experience in a comparable H&S Admin/Assistant role.
You enjoy and are successful in building and developing positive relationships. You have excellent written and spoken communication. You demonstrate a positive attitude to work at all times.
You’re focused, target-driven, and passionate about meeting all deadlines. You’ll bring strong IT skills with a particular focus on Excel.
