Maxwell Stephens is delighted to have been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role of Health and Safety Manager who will work alongside a dedicated team of maintenance and facilities professionals.

The actual role is part time and offers a salary of: £30,000 for 3 days per week.

You will take responsibility for this world leading institutes Health and Safety compliance.

About You

You are a member of a professional body such as the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent. As well as this you have a NEBOSH qualification and may have a degree.

You have experience in a similar H&S role, this includes monitoring, auditing and inspecting Health and Safety Standards.

As well as this you are able to use your personal skills to manage, motivate and influence staff and other team members. You level of effective communication are seen both in your verbal and written communication.

You have a detailed working knowledge of current safety, health and environment good practice and legalisation and its application.

In a fast paced environment you are calm and confident and are able to demonstrate high levels of commitment.



Your Responsibilities

 This role will see you advise and support the Maintenance and Facilities teams with regard to statutory compliance and ensuring facilities are operated in a safe and efficient manner.

You will review all health and safety policies and procedures no less than annually and make recommendations for improvement alongside this you will ensure that all risk assessments are completed.

You will also audit premises on a regard basis with regard to health, safety, environment and security and document all findings.

As part of this role you will investigate all accidents, danger occurrences and any near miss incidents and produce reports on these.

 Using you interpersonal skills you will provide health and safety advice to all employees, volunteers, temporary workers and contractors as well as this you will provide training for maintenance and facilities staff.
