What you’re there to do
Within the company, there is a dedicated division responsible for the group’s property portfolio. It has recently invested in transforming their front of house areas including bars and toilets. There is an on-going commitment to improve the technical specification of each venue’s stage and backstage areas. This is all underpinned by a long-term capital investment program into their venues to ensure legal compliance and improve customers’ experience.
Our client is looking to immediately recruit an energetic, creative-thinking Project / Property Manager to work within a world-class & established team which is responsible for the group’s venues in the South East and to assist with others to bring transformation to the company as a whole.
The day-to-day role
The role is full of interesting and diverse challenges. Our client has a multi-million annual spend on property projects and you will get involved in a large proportion of that budget over the long term.
You’ll be responsible for planning, specifying, budgeting and project-managing tasks ranging from replacing fire doors and seats, new kitchen and toilet installation, carpet laying to general repair & upkeep. You’ll also be in charge of maintaining the structural soundness and conditions of our client’s venues.
You’ll represent the Board when dealing with suppliers and contractors, new and existing, during the tendering process and beyond.
Your spend per project will range from £5,000 to £300,000 and, across the company, there’s as many as 40 projects on the go at any one time.
Your work will take you all over the south of England and you’ll be on the road visiting our client’s venues 2-3 days per week.

You’ll ideally be RICS chartered with a deep understanding of project management, surveying and engineering.
Your experience in bringing different teams together on heritage projects from your past roles will be put to good use.
