The Academy of Medical Sciences is searching for a Head of Property & Facilities to steer our distinguished Grade II Listed Georgian Townhouse and attached mews in the heart of London at 41 Portland Place.

The Role: As the Head of Property & Facilities, you play a critical role in ensuring excellence and innovation across our client's property and associated facilities. You will support income-generating activities within their premises and champion sustainability. Responsibilities include maintaining premium standards, developing services, managing suppliers, and creating a healthy and safe working environment. Your role also involves liaising with third parties, making you the primary representative for key stakeholders.

About You: The ideal candidate for this role will have a wealth of experience in senior facilities management, successfully delivering major facilities projects. You should have a track record of strategic supplier partnerships and expertise in security, digital, AV, and hybrid technologies. As part of our leadership team, you must excel in communication, project management, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement a capital expenditure strategy.

• Oversee property maintenance and development plans.

• Ensure health and safety, compliance, security, and business continuity.

• Manage suppliers and tenants effectively.

• Oversee on-site IT, AV, and security infrastructure.

• Procure and manage service and maintenance contracts.

• Maintain clear SLAs with suppliers.

• Oversee in-house teams and contracted services.

• Act as an ambassador for effective stakeholder relationships.

• Attend department meetings and report on activities.

• Manage department budgets.

• Line-manage, coach, and motivate team members.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
