Are you ready to be part of something truly exceptional? Leeds Castle, a 900-year-old moated castle nestled in the breathtaking Kent countryside, is seeking an outstanding individual to join as their Fire, Health & Safety Manager.

The Role: Fire, Health & Safety Manager Reporting directly to the Head of Estates, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the staff and visitors alike. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice and support across all departments, ensuring compliance with safety legislation and our Fire, Health, Safety, and Environment policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation of Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Ensure statutory obligations are met, including training and reporting.

• Stay updated on Health and Safety legislation, implementing necessary changes.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits, promoting a positive safety culture.

• Manage accident/incident documentation and follow-up investigations.

• Organize fire drills and evacuation exercises, providing necessary training.

• Coordinate the development of health & safety policies and safe working systems.

• Act as a point of contact for external health & safety consultants.

• Chair Health & Safety Committee meetings, ensuring action points are completed.

• Oversee the safe delivery of construction projects and external events on the estate.

• Keep abreast of relevant legislation changes and communicate them effectively.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in H&S Management, ideally in a visitor-facing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of H&S legislation with NEBOSH qualification.

• Experience in a complex, multi-disciplinary business.

• Strong collaborative and influencing skills.

• Resilient, flexible, and pragmatic nature, suited to a dynamic 365-day environment.
