Are you ready to take the helm of our clients IT and facilities operations and lead them into a new era of efficiency and innovation? Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as an IT & Facilities Manager.

Your Mission: Drive Innovation and Operational Excellence

As the IT & Facilities Manager, you will be at the forefront of our clients efforts to drive innovation and operational excellence across their organisation. Your primary objective will be to lead, motivate, and inspire a team dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of their IT systems and facilities. From managing IT activities such as networking, servers, printing, and backup to overseeing facilities maintenance, contracts, and office resources, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients operations run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the implementation and maintenance of our clients corporate IT and facilities strategy, driving innovation and efficiency across the organisation.

• IT Management: Oversee all aspects of IT operations, including first-level support for networking, servers, printing, and backup. Collaborate with corporate IT to plan and implement system and hardware upgrades, ensuring maximum utilisation of hardware and seamless local IT operational reliability.

• Facilities Oversight: Manage buildings maintenance activities in our clients Barking head office, including HVAC, water systems, lifts, utilities, grounds maintenance, lighting, electrical, and plumbing. Ensure the smooth operation of reception, switchboard, security, cleaning, catering, plants, and furniture. Organise office moves, refurbishments, and layout changes as needed.

• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the building and/or IT infrastructure, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.

• Financial Management: Assist in the preparation of IT and facilities capital investment and cost budgets. Authorise supplier invoices and monitor expenditures against budgets, ensuring cost-effective management of resources.

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation. Ensure that our UK offices, staff, and activities are fulfilling the quality and environmental aims of their company’s Sustainability Policy.

• Team Leadership: Manage a small team of IT and facilities coordinators, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success and professional development.
