We are looking for a Safety Training Manager to join our clients safety department
As our clients Safety Training Manager, you will ensure that the training and development programs align with the mission and safety culture. You will drive connectivity between risk management and research and teaching, while measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of training delivered both face-to-face and via e-learning. You will inspire teams to take the initiative with developing local training, while also co-ordinating with HR OD for the selection of suitable external health and safety training providers.
To be successful in this role, you will need a formal teaching qualification at Level 4 in adult education and/or be suitably qualified with extensive and relevant experience in a similar role. You will also need significant experience and understanding of health and safety legislation and risk management principles.
As an excellent team player, you will work across multiple workstreams and departments while demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to respond to urgent, ad hoc, and bespoke training requests from departments requiring key training interventions for operational and research needs.
While desirable, it is not essential to have a NEBOSH Certificate or experience using Learning Management Systems and Oracle. What is important is that you are self-motivated, well-organized, and have a good understanding of IT, including Microsoft Office packages.
The successful applicant may work remotely for up to 60% of the week if they wish.
