
A leading institution is seeking an experienced and proactive Asset Manager to join their Estates & Facilities Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and sustainable management of their campuses, delivering a high-quality environment for students, staff, and visitors.
The Role
As Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance activity across multiple campuses, including:
• Long-term and preventative maintenance planning
• Compliance inspections and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric assets
• Management of Direct Maintenance Services and minor works programmes
• Overseeing in-house teams and external contractors
• Ensuring all activities are compliant with Health & Safety and environmental regulations
• Supporting the development of long-term maintenance strategies and budgets
• Leading, motivating and developing staff to maintain professional standards across the service
You will also take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota, supporting the institution’s commitment to a safe and well-maintained environment at all times.
About You
You will bring:
• A relevant degree or professional qualification in estates, facilities, or a related discipline
• Substantial experience in asset and maintenance management within a large, multi-site organisation
• Proven experience managing teams, contractors and term contracts
• Strong technical knowledge of compliance, maintenance and project management
• Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills
• A customer-focused, proactive and solution-oriented approach
Qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely are essential, while additional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate) would be advantageous.
