Our client are seeking a proactive, expert, and influential Building Safety Manager to ensure our clients workplaces are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose — now and for the future.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be the driving force behind safety governance, inspections, and compliance across our clients entire property portfolio.
You Will:
· Deliver a programme of audits, inspections, and risk assessments with a sharp eye for hazards and opportunities to improve.
· Advise on construction safety, mechanical & electrical services, and CDM regulations — influencing at every level.
· Lead high-profile safety projects and campaigns that make a tangible difference to the wellbeing of people.
· Manage investigations, work closely with contractors, and ensure lessons are learned and applied across the Force.
· Keep safety systems, policies, and procedures ahead of legislative changes and industry best practice.
You’ll be working with senior leaders, health & safety specialists, and operational colleagues to embed a culture of safety excellence. This is not a back-office compliance role — it’s a hands-on, highly visible position where your expertise will directly protect lives and keep essential services running.
Essential Criteria:
· Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.
· NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
· Membership of IOSH or similar professional body.
· In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation.
· Experience in construction or civil engineering safety.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to travel across Kent and work flexibly as needed.
