
About the Role
Our Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Estates Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of a prestigious educational estate in central London.
Responsibilities:
· Managing the upkeep and efficient operation of the estate, including buildings, grounds, lifts, and pest control.
· Leading a team of fabric technicians, painters, and maintenance support staff.
· Coordinating specialist subcontractors for specific maintenance tasks.
· Implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies to enhance asset life cycles.
· Ensuring compliance with fire regulations and health and safety standards.
· Conducting building condition surveys and audits to inform maintenance strategies.
· Developing repair/remedial specifications and managing asset replacements.
· Delivering service improvements and meeting contractual targets/KPIs.
· Utilising building management systems and CAFM software for efficient operations.
About You
· A higher-level qualification in abuilding-related discipline (e.g., building surveying, building studies, or construction management).
· A strong understanding of fire regulations and health and safety, particularly in public/residential buildings.
· Experience in conducting building condition surveys and audits.
· Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
· Demonstrable management experience, including leading in-house maintenance teams and managing specialist contractors.
· Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with relevant IT software packages, such as building management systems and CAFM.
