The Opportunity
This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to shape and elevate the workplace experience for employees and visiting clients alike.
As the Facilities & Operations Senior Manager, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations, ensuring that the London office delivers a truly world-class environment. Working closely with senior leadership and your counterparts across Europe, you’ll champion service excellence, operational efficiency, and a “great place to work” culture across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Lead all aspects of the London office’s facilities and operations — including Reception, Catering, Cleaning, M&E, and Logistics.
• Manage in-house and outsourced service partners, driving performance and ensuring delivery against SLAs and KPIs.
• Continuously seek ways to enhance service delivery, employee satisfaction, and workplace standards.
• Oversee operational budgets (Opex and Capex), using sound commercial judgement and regular financial reporting.
• Maintain strong relationships with landlords and building management teams to ensure smooth collaboration.
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Act as the site lead for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
• Ensure policies, training, and risk assessments are up to date and fully aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Support the Incident Response Team and lead regular resilience exercises to ensure business continuity.
Front of House & Events
• Oversee front-of-house and reception services to deliver an exceptional experience for all visitors and staff.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality meetings, events, and client interactions.
• Work in partnership with technology and hospitality teams to deliver seamless on-site experiences.
Leadership & People
• Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing operations team in London.
• Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Work collaboratively with HR, IT, and Operations colleagues across Europe to share best practice and deliver consistent service standards.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
• Deliver key business improvement and workplace transformation projects.
• Use data-driven insights to report on space utilisation, attendance, and performance trends.
• Contribute to strategic LAB-wide initiatives that improve efficiency and employee experience.

About You
• 10+ years’ experience in facilities or operational leadership within a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience working within a professional services or corporate setting.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and FM disciplines.
• Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements.
• Highly commercial with strong budget management and vendor performance experience.
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in event or client experience management would be advantageous.
