Are you a dynamic leader with a knack for ensuring top-notch facilities management across multiple sites? Look no further – we're seeking a Head of Premises and Facilities Management to oversee our clients Canterbury office and two London locations. Here's your chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence of our organisation.

Overall Job Purpose:

As the Head of Premises and Facilities Management, you'll be the driving force behind maintaining and optimising our clients facilities across all sites. From building maintenance to security and space utilisation, you'll ensure that our clients premises are not only compliant with regulations but also cater to the evolving needs of our stakeholders. Your strategic vision will guide us in planning for future facility requirements while managing budgets for maintenance and improvements.

Principal Activities/Output of Job:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for our clients facilities to align with business objectives.

• Oversee day-to-day operations, including tendering, procurement, contract management, and project management.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and emergency planning.

• Manage budgets effectively, optimizing cost-efficiency and implementing sustainable practices.

• Foster collaboration with other departments to address facility needs and support operations.

• Responsible for income and expenditure of venue and facilities budgets, with an overall budget of circa £865,000.

• Signing authority of up to £5,000.

• Supervision of the facilities team, receptionists, and temporary staff as needed.

Staff Management and Engagement:

• Lead recruitment, training, and development initiatives to maximize team potential.

• Delegate tasks to ensure balanced workloads and maintain high standards.

• Promote effective communication and teamwork within the department.

Contacts and Influence Exercised:

• Liaise internally and externally, representing the organization professionally.

• Work autonomously, escalating issues as needed to the Operations Director.

Decisions:

• Act as the final authority to implement policies, guidelines, and procedures that impact strategic goals.

• Make decisions with an impact on department objectives and the organization as a whole.

Definition/Clarity:

• While the basic role is well-defined, flexibility is key to responding to emergencies and business changes.

• Boundaries are clear, with uncertainties discussed with the line manager.
