Are you a hands-on, multi-skilled maintenance professional looking for a varied role in a unique and dynamic environment?

We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation to recruit a Skilled Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and presentation of a large, visitor-focused site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in their work, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same.

The Role

As part of a dedicated facilities team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to a high standard for staff, visitors, and stakeholders.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
  • Completing basic mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and building repairs
  • Undertaking painting, decorating, and general upkeep tasks
  • Supporting grounds maintenance including use of tools and machinery
  • Assisting with event setup and breakdown (e.g. equipment, signage, barriers)
  • Using awork order system (CMMS) to log and manage tasks
  • Working at height and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Supporting and coordinating volunteers and contractors on site
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance / handyman / facilities role
  • Strong practical skills across general building maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and plumbing repairs
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to get stuck in
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Confidence working in a busy, public-facing environment
  • A full UK driving licence (essential)

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience with CMMS / work order systems
  • Licences for equipment such as forklift, MEWP, or PASMA
  • Knowledge of CCTV, AV systems, or automated gates

Additional Information

  • Weekend and bank holiday working may be required (time off in lieu provided)
  • Occasional evening work may be required
  • First Aid training will be provided (if not already held)
