Within its Defence division, Sodexo required an experienced Contract Technical Services Manager to lead technical service delivery at Merville Barracks, Colchester Garrison.
The role was critical to ensuring engineering and technical services were delivered safely, efficiently and in line with demanding contractual performance standards. Operating within a defence environment and under a long-term PPP/PFI arrangement, the position required a strong combination of technical expertise, commercial awareness, leadership and stakeholder management.
The Challenge
Sodexo needed a candidate with extensive experience managing complex technical services in a highly regulated and operationally sensitive environment.
The successful individual needed to understand the demands of PFI and PPP contracts, while also having the technical knowledge to oversee mechanical, electrical and civil engineering services across a large estate.
