We are currently recruiting for a Campus Supervisor to join a professional Estates & Facilities team, providing a high-quality front-line service across a multi-site operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being customer-facing, solving problems, coordinating services and taking ownership of the day-to-day facilities experience.
The Role
As Campus Supervisor, you will be responsible for a designated building or area, acting as a key point of contact for staff, students and visitors and ensuring the environment remains safe, secure, clean and fully operational.
Working as part of a wider Estates & Facilities team, you will take ownership of issues within your area and work proactively to resolve them, whilst delivering consistently high standards of customer service.
The role offers plenty of variety, covering facilities management, maintenance, health & safety, security, fire safety, first aid, housekeeping, portering and customer liaison.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the first point of contact for facilities-related queries, providing a professional and welcoming service.
• Carry out daily and routine checks to ensure the building is safe, operational and fit for purpose.
• Report, log and follow up maintenance issues and supervise contractors.
• Monitor housekeeping and cleaning standards and address issues promptly.
• Support security operations and access arrangements.
• Act as a Fire Warden and First Aider (training provided where required).
• Assist with room set-ups, furniture moves, equipment movements and deliveries.
• Support students and staff with storage and the movement of belongings and equipment.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues, contractors, students, staff and visitors.
About You
We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable, proactive and highly customer-focused, with the ability to remain organised in a busy environment.
You will ideally have:
• Experience working in a customer-facing or service delivery role.
• Experience within Facilities Management, Estates, Building Operations or a similar environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to manage your own workload while maintaining high customer service standards.
• A proactive approach and the ability to use your initiative.
• The ability to undertake practical tasks and manual handling.
• A flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• GCSE-level qualifications in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
Desirable: First Aid, Manual Handling or Health & Safety qualifications, plus experience working within an educational or academic environment.
Working Hours
The core operating hours are typically 08:00–20:00, Monday to Friday, on an alternating shift pattern of 08:00–16:00 and 12:00–20:00, changing every two weeks.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support events and extended opening hours.
