Estate management on a regeneration scheme is a broader job than managing a single building. The manager is the day-to-day face of the developer to occupiers, contractors and the wider public, and has to balance operational standards, stakeholder relationships and project delivery at the same time. Candidates with all three, and the temperament to represent the developer well, are relatively scarce.
