Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is an iconic multinational video game and digital entertainment company which is most well-known for the development and launch of the Sony PlayStation, with the original PlayStation console being released back in 1994.

The Position

The Facilities Assistant reports to the Facilities Supervisor & Facilities Manager and is responsible for providing support to ensure facilities services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.  

The successful candidate was required to oversee the daily running of 10GMS, 13GMS, 15GMS, with regards to facilities services. In addition they would ensure the building is kept to a high standard at all times and complies with both health and safety and environmental guidelines. Working closely with the Facilities Supervisor they would be first point of call for all facilities questions within the building.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role needed to be IOSH qualified and have previous applicable experience working within a Facilities Environment as well as previous knowledge of environmental services.

In terms of personal skills and attributes, the post holder needed to have a flexible and adaptable approach to their work, with the excellent organisational skills required to work under their own initiative and meet tight deadlines.

Using tact and diplomacy, the successful candidate needed to have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both written and verbally.
