Chief Operating Officer – International Facilities Management

Location: UK-based (London / South East), with extensive international travel

Contract: Permanent, executive leadership

The Opportunity

Our client is a privately owned, fast-growing international business with a blue-chip client base. It is launching a new facilities management business and is looking for its first Chief Operating Officer to build it.

The model has already been proven in the UK. The next step is to take it international.

The Role

This is a genuine build, not a maintenance role. You will take a proven UK model and turn it into an international FM business, starting in the UK and expanding through Europe, the US and the rest of the world. You will set up regional teams that give clients a live response 24 hours a day, six days a week. You’ll start from a strong client base, the backing of a well-funded group and owners who want this done properly.

About You

• You are a senior FM leader with real technical depth: critical environments, central plant, power and complex engineered assets.
• You have built something from a standing start. That might be a new business, a new territory or a new service line, not just a large portfolio you inherited.
• You take charge, get a grip quickly and deliver results before the team, systems and processes are fully in place.
• You are low-ego, hands-on and credible with demanding global clients.
• You understand how assets move from construction into long-term operation.
• You are UK-based, with a real appetite for international travel and for building teams overseas.
