Maxwell Stephens is working alongside a premier brand of apartments and hotels.

Our client are seeking a Group Maintenance Manager for their UK and European portfolio, based from the West End of London.

Our client acquire and redevelop or build from ground up properties into apartments and hotels. Our client are opening several properties a year and have approximately 40 properties already open across the UK and Europe.

About you

You will have experience leading a team on on-property Maintenance Managers and will have previous experience  in facilities maintenance management (ideally in a hospitality setting).

Leading and motivating your various teams across the UK and Europe, you can inspire a wide variety of people and drive change in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Thriving under pressure, you can think clearly on your feet when things start to go wrong. You’re extremely organised and an adept multitasker, meaning you can organise both your team’s and your own workload to make sure you deliver the highest quality service in agreed time frames.

Holding either a bachelor’s degree or relevant professional certification, your FM and Maintenance knowledge will make you an asset to our client.

What you’ll be doing

As the Group Maintenance Manager you’ll be responsible for leading our client’s maintenance team in their day-to-day operations and projects as well as working with the construction teams and contractors to ensure a smooth handover of hotels at practical completion.

You’ll also work closely with your team to help them set and attain meaningful performance and developmental goals. You will ensure they receive all the relevant training necessary for both technical and personal growth.

You will be responsible for the overall operational and financial success of the facilities. Our client will rely on your expertise in preparing the capital plan for building systems, structure, parking, grounds, and more. This highly responsible role, you will be in charge of preparing capital and repairs and maintenance budgets for engineering systems.

Managing all facilities and maintenance on the sites through your team, you will undertake regular site inspections to identify any problems or potential risks. Flagging up any issues, you and your team will respond quickly to ensure constant compliance with local environmental, health & safety legislation, and company policies. You will also be responsible for maintain optimal functioning of all building systems, including HVAC, fire protection equipment and lifts.

Assuring the highest levels of customer service at all times, you will also help to plan and execute maintenance programs throughout the properties; keeping the offices functioning safely and looking their best.

Overseeing contractors, you’ll ensure KPIs and local services and processes stay in line with agreed Real Estate practices and contractual requirements. You will also work closely with our client’s procurement team to develop specifications and scopes of work for real estate vendors and goods as required.
