To work proactively as leader of the workspace function to create and deliver innovative solutions for our clients working environments. To plan, lead, manage and deliver all key workspace activities across Office buildings ensuring the spaces are Agile, Vibrant, Safe and support the Culture and Colleague Wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop a clear workspace strategy which supports delivery of organisational goals
  • To proactively and reactively deliver solutions which create a better workspace for all Colleagues
  • To liaise effectively with senior Leaders and Managers helping them resolve any workspace related issues and develop solutions for effective ways of working
  • To engage with colleagues where appropriate seeking feedback, advising on workspace matters and sharing expertise on relevant topics such as recycling, sustainability etc
  • To source and manage relationships with all relevant suppliers and partners including workspace consultants, electrical and office layout consultants, security, cleaning, landlord etc
  • To ensure that workspace areas are regularly checked for any general maintenance updates, Health and Safety risks and to maintain agreed standards of tidiness and cleanliness
  • Ensure that workspaces operate in as sustainable way as possible, constantly seeking areas of improvement across recycling, energy-saving, utilities, waste management etc
  • To set and manage budgets for the workspace function 
  • To ensure that all of workspace areas are compliant with any relevant buildings/H&S legislation and that relevant regular checks and tests are undertaken
  • To act as a proactive functional manager within, effectively contributing to life through projects, steering groups and any other delivery mechanism
  • To role model Values and behaviours, presenting to and liaising with our Executive Team/Board as appropriate
  • To effectively lead and manage the Workspace Assistant

Skills & Behaviours

  • Ability to develop and deliver clear strategies and plans in line with organisational goals
  • Extensive knowledge of delivering and managing soft services including checks and inspections, commercial cleaning, security services, painting and decorating and office fit outs and moves
  • A strong working knowledge of Health and Safety in relation to workspace and office management
  • Experience of developing and delivering sustainability strategies and targets and engaging colleagues in these
  • Excellent budget setting and management skills
  • Able to build effective relationships with suppliers, always being an advocate.
  • Experience operating at a senior level with the confidence and skill to be able to design and deliver strategies for improved workspace performance
  • Confident using full Office 365 suite
  • Strong leader and role model
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator – skills to deliver through direct and matrix teams
  • Ability to manage workspace programmes and projects delivering on time and to budget
