Our client, a national specialist maintenance provider, have asked us to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team.

You will report directly into Managing Director to agree sales strategy and discuss business development execution. The role comes with a high variable compensation, with the opportunity to earn significant bonuses.

Key Duties

  • Creating and executing account-by-account sales strategy to drive planned maintenance revenue growth
  • Speaking with existing clients to sell additional services or increase site coverage
  • Creating and managing contact leads in CRM
  • Devising email, web and phone campaigns for warm/cold leads and key accounts
  • On-site visits to meet with prospects
  • Attending sales
  • Coordinating sales and account management across the firm
  • Presentations to senior management at fortnightly sales meetings
  • Participation in monthly/fortnightly key account meetings
  • Following up on client feedback
  • Management of tender processes
  • Preparation of RFP documents
  • Regular senior management meetings
  • Pricing strategy
  • Presentation to prospective clients
  • Marketing
  • Enhancing online presence (web, social)
  • Creative input into marketing materials (presentations, brochures)
  • Generating marketing ideas


Person Specification


  • Great people skills – you should be confident, articulate, and personable
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, particularly in use of CRM and email marketing tools
  • An absolute passion for winning new customers
  • Love of a challenge – real persistence
  • Interest and experience in the FM and commercial property sector
  • A technical background, preferably with experience of M&E, plumbing, drainage, or construction
