Maxwell Stephens has been given the task of recruiting for a large educational institution for the role of Deputy Maintenance Operations Manager. In this role you will assist in leading safe, efficient, customer-focused in house reactive and planned maintenance services across the site.
This will involve you taking the lead on all aspects of health and safety, advising on maintenance requirements, planning preventative maintenance while advising on Engineering Maintenance.
For this role you will have an IOSH Managing Safely or an equivalent this will be accompanied by a degree or HNC and be trained and qualified in the electrical/ mechanical trade.
You will be experienced and have the communication skills that are required to manage and supervising a diverse team and will be a motivator.
You will have a strong understanding of managing health and safety legalisation and implementing it.
Having a knowledge of Concept (or a similar system) is essential for this role.
Responsible for the general management and day to day delivery of all maintenance services, including Mechanical, Electrical, CHP and Fabric maintenance operations.
Day to day you will establish relevant KPI’s and targets while producing reports when these are needed. You will also lead recruitment and development of operational staff, to do this you will also need to identify training needs of individuals. If you see a need for training it will be your responsibility to arrange the courses to ensure that statutory requirements are always met.
