Maxwell Stephens are delighted to have been asked by the client to recruit for the role of Transport Manager who will be responsible for booking 3rd party transport for delivery and collections nationwide.
You will manage the supply chain of hauliers carry out yearly audits of the suppliers and ensuring we get the best service and best value.
This is a new role which will see you lead the daily routing of our vans nationwide manging our fleet of cars through our leasing provider.
A driving license is essential for this role.
You are organised and this comes from your experience of transport/logistics in a fast paced environment.
You are CPC trained or have a knowledge of this.
As well as this you are a strong communicator who is experience in leading teams.
In this role you will manage the daily running of the Transport department, this will see you lead, coach and motivate a team of Transport Administrators. You will also manage their performance.
You will carry out Transport compliance Audits at all locations Nationwide every 3 months. This will be part of you ensuring the vehicle fleet is well maintained.
To further this you will ensure Transport audit processes and procedures are completed in line with legislation, working closely with the CRS Group with the National.
As part of your role you will manage costs efficiently to ensure that everything stays in budget.
You will be a key leader and driver of safety.
