Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of a corporate company for a Health Safety and Compliance Manager.

The role of the Health Safety and Compliance Manager is to drive the project across the UK&I portfolio to ensure compliance at every level, help embed HSE into the business, engage people and improve operations with a view to improving HSE performance and minimising environmental impact.

Your Role

You will play a key role in developing a management system towards achieving an ISO:45001 accreditation in 2022 primarily for the London and in in readiness for expansion across the wider portfolio.

You will develop and work with regional office leaders as appropriate to ensure all activities are suitably risk assessed, and brands and locations are regularly audited with non-conformities logged to ensure compliance and provide accurate HSE reporting.

You will ensure all employees are competent and fully trained in HSE to undertake their duties as required whilst leading all HSE related communications and engagement activity across market.

You will support or where necessary undertake risk assessments for high profile/large scale or high-risk activity.



Skills and Experience

You will have a Health and Safety Qualification and will have full understanding and knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (the Management Regulations).

You will have experience of integrated management systems and project management.

You will have knowledge of market technology, working practice and solutions.

You will have experience working with ISO14001 EMS. You will also have experience of working with environmental legislation and be able to report carbon footprint.
