Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of a consultancy firm for a Facilities Manager role.

The Facilities Manager be responsible for the operation and management of FM services, building systems and processes that support the core business of property management team.

Your Role

You will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations in relation to buildings and premises.

You will prepare documents to put out to tenders for contractors and suppliers. You will also project manage, benchmark, supervise and coordinate the work of FM contractors.

You will calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money. You will also plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives.

You will direct, coordinate and plan essential services such as the M&E, security, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling within the buildings we manage.

You will ensure buildings meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.

You will use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement.

Skills and Experience

You will have a recognised qualification within FM. A recognised Health and Safety qualification is essential.

You will have procurement and negotiation skills. You will be able to multitask and prioritise your workload as well as being a confident decision maker.

You will have strong IT skills. You will be a strong communicator both written and verbally, with the ability to build relationships and network effectively.

You will have project management skills. You will have a flexible and innovative approach to work with the ability to work as part of a team.
