Our client, a Central London based Institution are seeking a Head of Property & Facilities to deliver excellence and innovation across their property and associated facilities and infrastructure.
- The Head of Property & Facilities is a critical role for our client and will be responsible for ensuring the premises are maintained and operated to provide the best experience possible for Fellows, staff, customers, and tenants. The postholder will have experience in a senior facilities management role and in developing and delivering major facilities projects working closely with landlords, suppliers, contractors, and funders.The Head of Property & Facilities will join our client at an exciting time when they are seeking to develop a longer-term property strategy and delivery a major programme to improve our head office facilities and start to reduce our carbon footprint. The role includes developing and implementing the strategy and programme for capital expenditure, coordinating logistical requirements, overseeing project delivery within schedule and budget, working with internal and external project managers, professional teams, and stakeholders.
The Head of Property & Facilities will also be responsible for ensuring robust health and safety, compliance, security, and business continuity arrangements in-line with business requirements. The postholder will also be accountable for the effective management of suppliers, tenants, and the provision of tenant-related services in accordance with the leases and ensuring accurate and timely billing of rent and service charges.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience of developing property strategy to support business transformation and carbon reduction, along with a track record of successfully developing a strategic partnership with suppliers. Due to the increasing importance of security, digital, AV, hybrid technologies, experience in these areas is essential.
This is a highly visible role and part of the wider leadership team, and requires a good communicator and project manager, with strong leadership skills, who can balance multiple demands whilst maintaining high levels of customer service and excellence across day-to-day operations.
