Maintenance Supervisor

You will be responsible for overseeing the general maintenance of the school, coordinating the team of 2 supporting tradespeople, and ensuring that the school’s facilities are maintained to a high standard. You will be part of the wider Facilities and Estates team, which includes caretakers, grounds staff, and domestic staff, who all work together to provide excellent services.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will have access to a dedicated workshop and a wide variety of new equipment, including a Startrite Bandsaw, Dewalt Crosscut, and Sedgwick Planer Thicknesser. You will be actively leading, motivating, and directing the team to meet the key objectives of the estate and the Facilities team.

You will have an extensive knowledge of building and fabric maintenance and a good working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation. You must be able to use software applications and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

A clean valid driving license is essential, as you may be required to drive the Facilities Team Van and minibus.

In return, you will receive a starting salary of around £28k per annum, dependent on experience and skills, as well as comprehensive training. You will be part of a team that takes pride in the upkeep of the estate and maintains high standards of all work.
