Maxwell Stephens is delighted to be partnering with one of our leading national property services clients in the search for an experienced Estimator.

Our client is a highly respected, rapidly growing organisation operating across the property services, estates maintenance, external works and infrastructure sectors, delivering projects for an impressive portfolio of commercial, retail, industrial and public sector clients throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team and play a pivotal role in securing profitable new business.

The Role

Reporting into the Commercial team, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate, commercially robust estimates across a varied portfolio of property services and external works projects.

Projects will typically include:

• Hard landscaping

• External fabric repairs

• Estate improvements

• Minor works

• Surfacing and civils

• Fencing and street furniture

• Drainage works

• Property maintenance

• Client variations and additional works

Working closely with Operations, Commercial and Business Development teams, you'll prepare detailed tenders, obtain supplier quotations, identify value engineering opportunities and support successful project delivery from tender through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate estimates and tender submissions.

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

• Carry out site visits where required.

• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.

• Prepare competitive pricing and value engineering proposals.

• Support contract mobilisation and handover following successful bids.

• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with estimating experience gained within one or more of the following sectors:

• Property Services

• Facilities Management

• Hard Landscaping

• Grounds Maintenance

• Civils

• External Works

• Minor Works

• Building Fabric

• Construction

• Infrastructure Maintenance

You'll also possess:

• Strong commercial awareness.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

• Experience pricing competitive tenders.

• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
