The role in question is that of an General Manager to manage an estate of buildings in the west of London. The role of General Manager is a role in-itself that is not recruited elsewhere within the organisation unless based at one of their most prestigious group of properties.
The estate has a large group of buildings on one site consisting of residential, office and retail units. There will be man management responsibility of several people directly.
The key responsibilities and tasks of both the role and the companies’ duties with respect to the building are to manage it on behalf of the landlord and take responsibilities for the common areas.
Your responsibilities in the role to carry out your duties would be to oversee all aspects of the Facilities and Building management. This would include but is not limited to contract management, client relationship management, tenant and supplier relationship management, commercial management, financial acumen and HSE responsibility.
It would be helpful if you have demonstrable experience of five keys areas of competence, these include: Health & Safety, Budget Management, People Management, Contractor Management and Awareness of Maintenance (Both planned and reactive maintenance).
This is an excellent position that requires an individual with exceptionally high standards and the ability to deliver at all times.
Previous experience of managing a shopping centre or a prestigious multi-tenanted site with a strong retail element is a definite advantage.
