Maxwell Stephens have been assigned by a leading law firm to recruit a Health & Safety Officer to join their team.
This is a permanent role working directly for our client but is a part time requirement for 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Workstation assessments
- Maternity assessments
- Risk assessments including COSHH
- H&S Training – manage all training certificates and arrange mandatory training for new joiners and key staff (including first aiders and fire marshals)
- Staff induction for London including work experience students
- Review of H&S policy
- Ensure all health & safety notices are kept up to date
- Support Cambridge and Liverpool – First aid
- First aiders point of contact
- Arrange first aid kit replenishments
- Manage first aider certificates and training
- Accident reporting inc. RIDDOR
- Liaise with landlord to arrange annual fire evacuation drills
- Landlord send fire evacuation reports to me for filing
- PEEP forms
- Manage fire marshal certificates and training
- Liaise with building services and KCE for fire extinguisher maintenance reports
- Liaise with building services and KCE for emergency light testing
- Arrange annual FRA for all offices and manage actions
- Update fire evacuation procedure
- Monthly site inspection for London including follow up actions.
- Work with relevant ISO consultant to ensure compliance
- COVID – assist WSS with risk assessment and monthly inspections. Liaise with Landlord for A/C compliance and included in ISO environmental impact
- Sub-contractors H&S
- Compliance register
- Weekly ladder checklist – liaise with building services
- Legionella tap temperatures – liaise with building services and KCE for monthly report
- PAT testing – liaise with building services and KCE for report
- Insurance certificate (EL) – liaise with Risk Team
- Hazardous waste for GP room and PPE – part of ISO role
- Keep H&S intranet page up to date
