Maxwell Stephens has been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role of Assistant Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the effective delivery of Hard services and Fabric Maintenance across designated buildings.
You have an HND/ HNC in building services and relevant professional experience. You have an IOSH or a NEBOSH qualification too with a thorough knowledge of health and safety legalisation
You use your communication skills, being tactful, articulate and diplomatic to motivate internal and external teams and contractors. This will be seen in your experience of manging and developing staff.
You have a flexible attitude to work, to ensure you can proactively work towards the teams objectives.
It is desired that you have a drivers licence.
For this role a DBS check will be done.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring H&S compliance by the team while ensuring that all Estates department procedures and installations meet all statutory obligations and requirements. As well as ensuring value for money is obtained on any and all expenditure.
You will ensure that all team members are trained appropriately to carry out their duties at all times- and where possible upskill them inhouse. This will include you carrying out monthly 121’s.
You will provide a monthly report while support the Maintenance Manager.
Day to day you will carry out regular inspections of premises and report any defects.
Attend meetings to discuss plan and programme works, you will also run local hard services team meetings.
