Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of a very prestigious client for the role of Maintenance Electrician.

The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for providing an efficient electrical repair and maintenance service to the establishment.

Your Responsibilities

You will carry out electrical repair, minor installation and testing of mechanical & electrical systems under the instruction of the M&E Supervisor. You will participate in the annual maintenance programme as required, carrying out minor repairs and reporting major faults in the prescribed format.

You will escort contractors around the buildings when necessary.

You will be responsible for carrying out all preparation works and safety checks for all functions.

The job holder will be expected to resolve day to day problems, seeking advice or authority from the M&E supervisor or other team members where necessary.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, but due to the nature of the position you must have a flexible approach to working hours and weekend duties.

About You

You will be educated to C&G 2365 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent in electrical installation and demonstrate progression towards obtaining level 3.

You will be qualified to work under the IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition. It is vital that the job holder is aware of all the regulations relating to electrical installations.

You will have extensive experience in establishing and maintaining good stakeholder/customer relationships, with excellent communication skills and an approachable, flexible ‘can-do’ attitude to the variety of work that often arises.

You will have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across functional and geographical boundaries, where a positive approach to teamwork is essential.

You will have good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

You will be IT Literate with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications inc. Word, Excel and Outlook.

Experience of working in Listed Buildings would be an advantage.
