Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of an educational facility for a Technical Support Officer.

The Technical Support Officer will manage and coordinate the integrated operational infrastructure of a large, multifaceted operating and/or services department.

Your Role

You will be responsible for co-ordinating workload for the Maintenance Operations Team via Computer Assisted Facilities Management Systems. You will also assist Supervisors with allocating work based on priority, location, trade specialty.

You will plan, prioritise and organise the deployment of staff and other resources to meet changing priorities and workload demands. You will also co-ordinate with building users and the AFM’s regarding proposed isolations to services, notify stakeholders about potential disruptions both during and or outside of normal hours.

You will be responsible for keeping records and maintaining data on share point regarding training and qualifications for the Maintenance Operation Team. You will use data retrieved from both CAFM system and the Performance Management Team to create performance reports. You will also communicate with all customers and stakeholders using emails, telephones or radios.

You will maintain an awareness and observation of Fire, Health and Safety Regulations and actively contribute to embedding a safety culture across the estates.

Skills and Experience

You will have a good general education with sound literacy and numeracy skills.
You will have strong administrative writing, reporting, presenting and interpersonal skills.

You will have experience working cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of personnel, and internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate success in developing and managing relationships with support functions, stakeholders and third party suppliers.

You will have previous experience in working in a team environment, craft and mechanical trade based would be preferable. You will demonstrate skills in researching, gathering, and preparing data and presentations.

You will also have an ability to plan for the medium and long term as well as on a day-to-basis.
