Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of a consultancy firm for a Facilities Manager role. Our client is a global property based company with nearly 50,000 employees worldwide, operating in over 60 different countries.

The principle purpose of the Procurement Manager is to oversee multiple Categories of spend, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Performance activities for specific subcategories of spend.  This role will act as one he primary points of contact for the organisation regarding category management

 

Your Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager will possess strong hard and soft services specific knowledge, excellent people and influencing skills as well as change management skills

Responsible for managing and delivering results, that support the goals and objectives for respective services.

Managing contract life cycles and negotiations of suppliers delivering category management across the dedicated portfolio

Managing tenders and tender analysis

Performing financial analysis and bench marking

Monitoring and managing vendor performance

Building strong relationships with suppliers and facilities managers

Establishment of effective procurement policies and procedures

Act as a primary point of contact in dispute resolution

Management of our third-party vetting consultants

 

Skills and Experience

  • Must have a minimum of three to five years relevant procurement and supply management experience
  • Experience within Property or Facilities Management (“FM”) preferable
  • Experience of Energy & Utilities Procurement desirable
  • Hold a professional certification e.g. CPSM, CIPS, evidence of continued professional growth
  • Experience in procurement/contract management of soft and/or hard services, facilities management and/or property management
  • Knowledge of contract law and its application in the purchasing process
  • Experience in contract negotiation and managing KPI /contractor performance
  • An ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and build strong working relationships
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS office in addition to numerical and analytical skills
  • Previous Energy and Utilities Procurement experience is desirable
