Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of a charity for a Building Services Manager.
This role is being recruited on a 6 Month fixed term contract. It is an interim role that requires an immediate start.
You will be responsible for the management of building services, processes and contracts that supports the core business.
Ensure that regular building inspections and routine checks (PPMs) are made to ensure that all systems are statutory compliant, operational, and free from hazards.
Manage, monitor, and review all facilities contracts leading on quality and value for money, ensuring service level agreements and KPIs are maintained to ensure the building always meets the standards required and is appropriately presented.
Work with Head of Technical Services to oversee building wide systems, ensuring they are fully utilised, delivering the technical service they are designed for, and ensure that systems are fully documented.
Deliver building maintenance within the allocated budget and provide accurate forecasts for future maintenance spend
Act as the Health & Safety Appointed Person and champion all relevant aspects of the management of Health & Safety within the site, ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, plans, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
Monitor energy consumption and prepare / maintain energy reports required by the Head of Technical Services / Director of Operations for review.
Comply with all statutory and Birmingham Hippodrome requirements in the areas of compliance such as safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety.
Skills and Experience
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
NEBOSH Health & Safety.
Working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and practices.
Proven experience of the management of Facility Management Contracts.
I.T. Literate – Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint
Building / Facilities experience in a commercial environment is essential.
Experience of managing Facilities teams.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and to solve problems.
Flexible attitude to work by being able and willing to work in any parts of the
business and completing new tasks as required.
