Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of an educational trust, Future Academies, for the role of Procurement and Contracts Manager role who will provide professional procurement and tendering for high value goods and services.

In this role you will lead on suppliers and contract management of major outsourced services.

 About You

 You will have a relevant qualification from CIPS and/or equivalent work-based experience.

As well as this you will have experience of managing complex procurement across a variety of goods and services.

You have an outstanding commercial awareness and track record of achieving value for money, this has aided your ability to negotiate.

You have strong analytical skills and are an excellent project manager who can coordinate a team effectively.



What You Will Be Doing

In this role you will develop and implement a Trust Procurement Strategy.

You will be there to advise on major capital procurement, alongside professional project management teams, as appropriate.

As well as this you will establish and maintain a preferred supplier list cross-Trust, including rationalisation and market testing of existing suppliers, use of public sector buying organisation frameworks, and Trust relationships with key suppliers

You will achieve the highest levels of value for money demonstrated using KPI’s and relevant benchmarks; whilst ensuring that procurement activities deliver value added benefits beyond price reduction and contribute directly to the experience of staff & students.

You will monitor and report on SLAs and KPIs for relevant contract management and purchasing KPIS.
