Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role Facilities Assistant in London.

The successful candidate will provide an outstanding level of customer service and assist in the running of facilities management and housekeeping across the sites and guarantee the highest possible standards.



About the role

You will undertake daily morning walk-around of the building and surrounding areas and check all facilities and areas of the building. Any actions that are required or issues to report will be reported to the Facilities Manager

In the absence of Facilities Manager, you will liaise with the cleaning contractors to ensure that the highest cleaning standards are maintained.

You will be required to complete general facilities and administrative tasks to include AdHoc projects

The successful candidate will liaise with the Receptionists to manage all incoming/outgoing deliveries. Distribute deliveries around the building in an appropriate timely manner.

Your role will require you to move furniture and equipment within the premises when required.

Your role will require you to respond to security alarm systems and emergency calls outside of the normal working hours.

Within Health & Safety, you will assist with surveys associated within the premises, log all maintenance inspections and supporting with fire alarms and fire exits maintaining they remain free from obstruction at all times.

You will be required to manage the staff rooms and keep them clean and fully stocked up, assisting with managing supplies with equipment.

 

About You

  • Applicants will have undertaken some training in the areas of Health and Safety, Building Maintenance and Repair, Cleaning /Premises
  • You will be required to hold a driving licence
  • Require knowledge of policies, procedures, relevant health and safety, COSSH regulations, minor maintenance and repairs.
  • A years experience of Facilities Management
  • Good use of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to respond positively to changes in priority.
  • Ability to respond to situations as they arise.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to make judgements, use initiative and be able to prioritise.
  • To have good deaf awareness and understanding of the professional needs of deaf and hearing colleagues.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake minor repairs efficiently and to a high standard with the use of manual and/or power tools and proprietary fittings and components.
  • Ability to establish excellent working relationships with all staff, contractors and visitors.
  • Working knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.
  • To take pride in the job and be proactive in keeping the premises up to standards reasonably expected.
  • Ability to take personal responsibility for all equipment in own area.
  • Working knowledge of regulations affecting premises management and completion of minor works.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism.
