Maxwell Stephens have been asked to recruit on behalf of the client for the role Estates and Facilities Manager in Tonbridge.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Estates and be responsible to Senior Management



  • About the role
    • You will manage all matters relating to buildings and the grounds and advise or make recommendations when required.
    • You will be required to be responsible for the management and maintenance of all database systems.
    • You will be required to monitor and manage the financial budgets for relevant sections.
    • You will assist the Head of Estates with planning and delivering projects when required.
    • You will ensure all Health & Safety regulations are met in all aspects of Estates and Facilities.
    • You will put forward any recommendations for the annual buildings development and maintenance programmes.
    • You role will require you to monitor and manage daily performance of external contractors and attend regular meetings with the contract managers.
    • In some cases, you will be required to attend out of hours for any emergency or incident.
    • You will monitor the energy consumption and make any recommendations for improvements.
    • Your role will require you to have oversite of the maintenance, estate officer and cleaning staff.

About You

  • You should have experience withing management or supervision,
  • Have experience or qualifications within Health & Safety
  • Relevant professional or trade qualifications
  • Previous experience of large building project management
  • Good people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills verbally and written.
  • Ability to undertake a physical and active role
  • Willingness to undertake some offsite travel, holding a clean current driving license and with access to a vehicle during working hours.
  • Possess a wide knowledge of building construction regulations and procedures
  • Being able to work within a deadline and have excellent organisational skills
