Back to Vacancies ListA skilled individual is sought to join our clients team as a Facilities Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our office buildings, with the potential for managing additional sites in the future. This full-time position will involve supervising an apprentice and travelling within the UK.
- Responsibilities:
- Facilities – maintenance, repair, disposal & compliance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities, including coordinating with vendors and contractors
- Ensure that all facilities meet relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Manage the acquisition and disposal of facilities as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the effective management of facilities
- Manage the budget for facilities maintenance and repair, including forecasting and expenditure tracking
- Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Communicate with tenants and building personnel to address any issues or concerns
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Facilities Management Apprentice
Essential qualifications:
- RICS /WIFM qualification
- Bachelor’s degree
Essential skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in facilities management, including experience managing offices
- Strong understanding of facilities management best practices and regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and complaint handling
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Microsoft Office advanced
- Mobile for travel within the UK
