Our client are a leading property company and they have a current opportunity for an Assistant Building Manager to be based at one of their prestigious sites in Birmingham.

In this role you will support the General Manager in helping to develop and maintain a positive image of the building ensuring the highest standards throughout.  You will be responsible for the day to day management of contractors and you will also help with the draft and control of the service charge budget.

Ideally you will be IOSH qualified as Health and Safety will be a big part of this role together with having an awareness of maintenance and good technical understanding of building fabric.

You will have excellent planning and organisation skills and will be able to interact well with others and will be capable of building good working relationships with others.

Key skills required

  • Experience in a similar building management or facilities role
  • IOSH qualified (desirable)
  • Experience of managing contractors
  • Budget management (Service charge)
  • Awareness of maintenance (PPM)
